I went on the best vacation ever with 2 of my girlfriends, Lauren and Kelle. We had the best time. We stayed at a timeshare in Indio, California. We thought we were staying in Palm Springs, but there must have been a mix up in the booking, but when we found the one in Palm Springs (by accident) after we already checked in to the one in Indio, we decided where we were was much, MUCH better than the other. Our place had it's own lazy river. Needless to say, we spent a lot of time in it. Every night, and a couple times during the day. It was very fun. The lazy river was perfect for my cast because it didn't have to get wet! The river stayed open til 10PM and that was awesome. At 9, people under the age of 18 and the parents of those kids, had to get out of the pool. At one point, we were building a barrier in the river so the crazy kids couldn't get by us. It was quite hilarious at the time. We were laughing so hard.
The next day we went shopping at the outlet mall. There were 130 stores! And these were high end stores too: coach, armani, gucci, juicy couture, dooney and burke, barney's new york, and some other ones I can't think of. We were like kids in a candy store. Lauren and I both bought purses at the Coach store. I have never purchased one before and It was hard to do it even then. My purse was originally $268, and I bought it for $90. I felt a little better because I saved so much. I don't think I'll ever buy one at full price. I can't justify it. Lauren bought one too and she too saved a butt load of money. Kelle bought a little purse from Juicy. She loves it. WE all enjoyed it so much. We decided to go shopping instead of disneyland. Disneyland was our original plan, but we were further away than we realized and we wouldn't have minded the drive there, but we didn't want to be so exhausted on the drive back, that we decided to go shopping. We probably saved money on shopping instead when considering gas prices and ticket and food prices at Disneyland. All in all, it was worth it. Maybe next time i'll go to Disneyland with Kody. I think she would enjoy it now. She loves Mickey Mouse
This is where we stayed. These shots are from our porch. The pool was right there- less than 2 minutes away. The 2nd picture is of the other side of the building we were at. It was so pretty with the sunset on it. The man made river is really pretty too. And this is a shot of our kitchen. We loved staying there. It was very roomy. The only downfall was there was only 1 mirror in the whole blasted place and that was in the bathroom. So if someone was in the shower, we couldn't get ready. Lauren and I managed something though. Luckily our makeup cases had mirrors so we did our makeup at the bar in the kitchen.
Okay! the next day after shopping we went to Knotts Soak City!! It was fantastic! I had to best time there. At first we were a little disappointed because this water park is supposedly the largest in the desert and it didn't seem like it had a lot of slides or anything really. But once we got into the rides, it was so much better. The pink and orange thing you see there was by far the best ride in the world. We went on that one multiple times. In the picture is my and lauren on it. Kelle decided to take our picture. It was kinda scary. The ride was pitch black for the first few seconds and then you make this huge drop and go flying up the sides of the thing. Oh man it was crazy fun. There was this other slide that 2-3 people can go on in a tube. That one was way fun too. It goes super fast. When we got to the bottom, usually people slow down by the time they get to where you're supposed to step out, but we flew all the way to the vent at the end of the ride. I had to put my legs out with full strength to stop us! We were laughing so hard and others who were waiting for tubes were cracking up too. The second time we went down, I had to put my feet down at the end so we wouldn't fly anymore. it was great. My cast did really well not getting wet til the very end. The reason why it's called soak city is because there is this jungle-gym type thing where the second you get into it you're soaked. Well without thinking I went on in and right away my cast was soaked!! And let me tell ya, it reeked!! When it dried it was bad. I was embarrassed by it. When I got home, Kole was a few feet away from me and he said he could smell it from there, so I had him take it off for me. I felt much better after that. I don't think I could have lasted another week and half with such a rancid-smelling arm.
This is my lovely Coach purse and little wallet dealy! I love it! I love things that match. As I said above, I don't think I will ever spend full price on such at item. Especially not after I got such a huge deal on the one I have. It's fun to have a nice purse that last a lifetime.
