Camping trip- it's a long one!

Kody loved the tire swing

I love how her little leg is kicked up, resting

Me and my sister Kelli in front of Fools Hollow Lake

I thought this was a gorgeous picture

Kody crying about who knows what. The 10th time she's cried about something that day. Then my dad helping her and giving big smiles

My parents. I love this picture of them

Another view of Fools Hollow Lake

3 generations

Lake at sunset from our campsite. It was so beautiful

Kody had the chance to go play in the rain for a bit. She loves the rain

I love this photo of her. She looks so sweet. We were looking for squirrels.

There's one right there!! Kody loved seeing them. She got very excited. She called them Squares.

In her past time she would walk the thing there saying "walk walk walk." it was adorable

My sister and I, with my dad joining in on the fun.

Sat morning view of the lake. Love it

Kody got to feed the duckies bread at Woodland's Lake

Super ugly goose.

Kody didn't like the park, but she enjoyed the rim! I love the rim. I love the contrast on the big boulders there

What you doin?? That's what she's saying

My little happy one! I love her little face

This is about as good as a picture we could get together.

Another view of the boulders. I love this other picture where you can see the storm in the upper right hand corner!

My sister and I at the rim, then Kelli and my dad.

Storm clouds. Oh it was so pretty. I miss it

Kody felt empowered holding a stick and being able to whack the pine cones

Woods Canyon Lake just 3 miles from the Rim lookout. It was raining while we were there, but it was oh so pretty

These 2 shots are probably my favorite!

Okay, so here is the longest blog I have ever posted and it will probably be the longest one too! This past weekend I went camping with my parents, and sister. Kole had to work so he didn't get to come (sad).  We went to Fools Hollow Lake. My dad had an RV to use, so we parked there and went exploring. There was a little park across the street from our camp and we took Kody to go play on the tire swing. She loved it!!! She wanted to play on that the whole time. However, the minute we stepped out of the car mosquitos were attacking her like crazy. Luckily one of the fellow camper neighbors had bug repellant spray and she let us use it on Kody.  I guess those little buggers like fresh meat.
Later we went down to the Lake to check out the scenery. It was so beautiful. I think the lake is man-made, but it was gorgeous non the less.  Kody wanted to go swimming in it, but that wasn't going to happen. She loves the water. That night it was raining a bit and I took kody out to go play. She loves the rain.  We were out there for about 20 minutes- it started thundering, so we had to go back inside the camper. She was so tired that night, but she would not go to sleep to save my life! It was 9:20PM and she was still awake. We were laying on the bed where the kitchen table is normally and she could see the light on where my parents bed was, so she wouldn't close her eyes. Finally we went up onto the loft where Kelli was sleeping, closed the curtains there, and within 5 minutes, she was out!  She slept pretty good that night for the most part. She didn't move around too much, til I got up to go the bathroom and when i got back to bed she was on kelli's legs. lol.
The next morning, I took Kody out to the big boulders and we played on those for a bit. I saw squirrels all around and I wanted her to see one. We found one and Kody had the biggest smile on her face. We kept looking for others and I would whisper to her to be quiet and she would start whispering back with her finger over her mouth and she would say "be quiet", "shhhh." She did not want to walk on the path because of PINE CONES! Of all the things a kid can be scared of, mine is afraid of pine cones. I don't know why, but she would flip out!! We went to another lake "woodlands Lake" and there she fed the ducks bread, and barely walked around. We found a park to go play on and she didn't want to walk on the "scary" sand because it was sand and because of pine cones. She didn't like the swing, she didn't like the slide. I think she is the only 2 year old I know that could NOT have fun at a park. I don't know why...
After that lake we went to the Rim. Well I was ahead of my parents vehicle and I somehow missed the turn off, got all the way down the hill by Christopher Creek when my dad called to tell me I missed it. I was so annoyed. I finally made it back up there, and we had a great time at the Rim. It was really windy, but it felt so nice and the view is beautiful. We could see the storm coming in and that was pretty cool.  After the Rim we went down the the Lake there and took some pictures. It was raining pretty good when we got there. My mom and I had to use the bathroom really bad and there was a line for the womens like always and I didn't want to wait anymore, so I decided to use the men's. It was rather DISGUSTING. flies everywhere, (porta-potty) and I had to squat over the seat. I was not letting my bum touch that. Sick! LOL. Anyway, we had a nice time. Kody slept from the Rim all the way to home. I was glad for it. She is a really good traveler so far. We haven't gone longer than 3 hours with her, since she was a newborn, but she did really well. All things considered, I had a good time. There were times when I wanted to go home cause Kody was crying about every thing imaginable, but I'm glad I went.
