On a Wednesday evening, Kole went motorcycle riding at the track over by PIR. Well, he called me about an hour or two after he left and mentioned that he got hurt. He cleared a jump and his motorcycle tire got stuck in a mud hole and he flipped over the handle bars and his bike came and landed on top of him. As soon as he got home we went to the Urgen care where pic #1 was taken. He is very very red and swollen. The big knot on his sholder blade was pretty gnarly. The red is not road burn. That is from the pressure of the bike breaking the capillaries and causing some hematomas. He had an X-ray done and luckily nothing was broken. He was wearing his chest protector, which ended up breaking from the crash. A big chunk of plastic broke off. I don't have a picture of it, but maybe soon enough. Anyway, his brand new helmet that he just bought about 3 weeks ago is now junk. The helmet also broke around the face/chin area. He pretty much caught his fall with his face. We figured that out because his gloves were not muddy, and neither were his elbows on his jersey. He did buy a new helmet in time that's for sure. Who knows what would have happened if he was in his old one. Luckily my parents happened to be at our house when Kole called. They offered to stay with Kody while we went to the Dr. When we got home, my dad along with our neighbor Bob, gave Kole a priesthood blessing. It was a beautiful blessing and I truly believe it was because of that, and kole's protection, that he was blessed to the extent that he was. The fact that he shows minimal bruising after a week shows the miracle of the Lords hand on our lives. I am very grateful for the power of the priesthood in our lives and in my home. Kole is doing much better now. He's able to move around much better and he can finally sleep on his back. He was really sore and was not able to lie flat due to his injuries. Again all is well. Very blessed he didn't break anything.
